Nippon Paint developed a custom 4-layer waterproofing system designed for this roof to address the specific needs of this site. One of the key components was NippoGARD M4000-TA, a high performance sheet-formed membrane with built-in UV protection and a 140 grams reinforcement layer, offering greater thickness and durability than typical market-grade products at usually 110 to 120 grams. This added strength makes it more resistant to long-term wear, especially in exposed rooftop conditions.
NippoSEAL FLEX 200, a liquid-applied membrane with 700% elongation with high flexibility, act as the extra protective layer to enhance further durability, was layered on top of the NippoGARD M4000-TA. This flexible membrane bonded tightly to the mineral granules on the sheet membrane, providing extra weather resilience.

NIPPON PAINT PRIMEBIT is a cold-applied, single-component, jointless bitumen-based sealant with clay-stabilized waterproofing emulsion. Suitable for use on most building materials such as concrete and brickwork. It is easily applied by brushes on dried concrete surfaces, and also to green concrete. It can be applied as a built-up layer of 2-3 coats system or as a priming coat.
